The cineSync Playlist Viewer allows you to sort files in your Playlist into Groups. While every file in your Playlist will always appear in the 'All Files' Group, you can create other Groups to make it easier to locate media in the Playlist. This might mean sorting media by date, or by studio, by version, or by reel - whatever works for your situation.
Groups can be created by two ways.
Firstly, when a folder is added to the cineSync Playlist (either through drag-and-drop, or by using the Add Folder function), a Group will be created with the same name as the folder.

Secondly, you can create your own Group by clicking the Add Group icon, selecting files from the Playlist and dragging them into the new Group folder.

If you create a Group manually, you'll be asked to name it. Once you've entered your chosen Group name, click OK and the Group Folder will be created.

You can remove a file from a Group by selecting the file, then clicking the 'Remove from Group' button - this will remove the file only from the Group, but will keep it in the Playlist under the 'All Files' Group.
However, if you select a file and then click 'Remove from Playlist', the file is removed from the Playlist and therefore removed from the session. The media is not deleted, simply no longer referenced by cineSync.

You can drag and drop files from Group to another Group and a file can be in as many Groups as required.
Group folders can be deleted via the Remove Group button, however the files will continue to be referenced in the 'All Files' Group. The 'All Files' Group cannot be deleted.
