cineSync allows you to make notes at three different levels.

These notes are private and are not shared with other users in your session. If you would like to publicly share notes, you can do so through the Buddy List/Chat window.

To activate the notes - click the 'show notes' button on bottom left of the screen.

On opening, the note field is enabled and text can typed into the field - to save the note hit the enter key.
To add another note just click on note field.

To add a Media or Session note, simply select the required tab.

While you're actively entering a note, cineSync ensures that the note stays referenced to that frame or file, so even if someone starts playing the file while you're typing - or even if they change movies - cineSync will still accurately apply the note to the correct frame of file when you hit enter.

Whenever you add a note or draw on the media, a marker is placed on the timeline to indicate that the frame has been annotated. For other users in the session however, they will only see the frame markers that refer to on screen annotations (as notes are private).

You can jump to these notes/drawing Markers by using the Previous Annotation/Next Annotation items in the Navigate menu, or by using the relevant keyboard shortcuts.

A full list of the markers in a session (for the entire Playlist) is available in Show Notes and Annotations in the Notes menu.

You can sort the list of markers by movie name, label or frame number, by clicking on the title of the appropriate column. You can navigate to the frame a marker is on by double clicking the marker's frame number in the Markers window.

Your markers, notes and annotations are saved when you save the session.
