Controlling the Hulk with cineSync
Monday, 30 June 2008
For the latest vision of the The Incredible Hulk, director Louis Leterrier worked with Rhythm and Hues, Soho VFX, Image Engine and Hydraulx, spread between LA, Vancouver and Toronto, while the shoot was split between Canada and Brazil.
In order to effectively co-ordinate the distributed VFX team, while on the road, Leterrier found the simplest solution was cineSync.
When asked where he'd completed the visual effects shots in the film, Leterrier responded "Mainly back in LA, but we were like a traveling circus; we took some of the post team to Toronto with us, and we worked with Soho Visual Effects up there. Now with CineSync it’s so easy, and I can use my laptop for a CineSync session with anyone around the world, and that’s pretty much what I did with my graphic tablet. You can see the movie and draw on it and then move it back and forth."
